2016 Golf U.S. Open

Fly Fishing Adventure

Conneaut Creek, OH

The most generous bidder and a guest will join longtime angler Doug Gouge and friends for an exhilarating day of catch-and-release Fly Fishing for majestic Steelhead in Conneat Creek, Ohio. 

 

Late in the autumn, Steelhead start to stage up at the tributary mounts of streams, an explosive run up or downstream, with head thrashing, acrobatic leaps.  As the weather cools and the fall rains come, and the water starts to raise water levels in the steams the Steelhead make their breathtaking migratory runs up the streams. The party departs early in the morning to allow for the drive to Ohio, then returns to Pittsburgh early in the evening, stopping at the Log Cabin Inn for a relaxing dinner to reflect and share tales.
