Operations Manager

My name is Ashanti Duncan (she/her) and I am originally from Lancaster PA. If you have ever wanted to ride a horse and buggy, Lancaster is known for it! I lived in Atlanta for the vast majority of my youth but I consider myself a Pennsylvanian. I am currently attending the University of Pittsburgh and working towards a degree in Psychology with a minor in Africana Studies and certificate in Nonprofit Management. I chose those areas of study because I noticed the need in BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities for more diverse mental health advocates; specifically ones who come from their community and have a deep understanding of their culture's. It is so easy to feel alienated in our individualistic society, so I feel extremely grateful to be a part of an organization that unites everyone. I am excited to be joining the Dreams of Hope team and to amplify the mission through my work. I am eager to grow connections and learn more about everyone.
