sQool.

We provide visibility and community for youth through queer arts programming in schools and other youth education venues.

sQool uses the arts to increase visibility and foster dialogue on LGBTQA+ topics in schools, community centers, and other public venues throughout the region. sQool includes:

  • In-class residencies connecting Dreams of Hope teaching artists with classroom teachers to augment curriculum with arts practice anddialogue on LGBTQA+ themes in a manner that is aligned with common core standards.

  • Out-of-class residencies, delivered in partnership with GSAs and other allies, which engage students in art creation and conversation on LGBTQA+ topics.

  • One-time arts workshops.

  • Professional development trainings for adults who work with young people.

  • Drop-by art creation activities at festivals and other events.

If you are interested in working with us, we would be excited to create a program that is tailored to your needs. Let us know how we can work together!
