metamorphosis: a daring emergence, a theatriQ production

Since 2003, Dreams of Hope has produced original productions created and performed by our theatriQ performing arts youth ensemble. 

In this year’s show, metamorphosis: a daring emergence, an eclectic group of friends get sucked into their new video game. Inside, the obstacles of the game mirror the struggles they are facing in real life. Will they be able to face the embodiment of life’s challenges and escape the game? Or will their difficulties accepting themselves cause them to be left behind?

Dreams of Hope’s theatriQ ensemble built metamorphosis from the ground up over five months, with the support of an interdisciplinary teaching team. The resulting unique piece of collective work delves into the experiences of queer and Trans youth, reflecting the ensemble’s authenticity and creativity.

This season we are unapologetically celebrating two decades of elevating queer and Trans youth voices through the power of the arts.
