Percussionist & Builder
Cyndy Carroll considers herself a creative soul who likes to build things, fix stuff, play outside, eat good food and have fun! She first learned how to use tools as a kid with her Dad’s instruction. Even though she has several degrees in Technology Education, she says that she still learns more through her life experiences.
She has taught Technology Education at the elementary (12 years), middle school (7 years), high school (7 years) and University levels (University of Kentucky’s Department of Engineering, 8 years).
She builds furniture, sculptures, boats, houses and even a circular staircase around a tree!
Her philosophy is to dream, design, create, then dream some more! She was the recipient of Carnegie Science Center’s Educator of the Year Award in 2009 and says her greatest accomplishment is her daughter, Dawn.
