Each year, Dreams of Hope launches an original production created and performed by its theatriQ Youth Ensemble. The Ensemble’s latest play, Hearts On Hold, shows us how responding to gentrification can bring communities together, and is also a story of connection and belonging between two unlikely characters. Two former childhood rivals must dig up the history of their town in order to save it.  As the community begins to form stronger bonds and solidarity, these two follow along in the footsteps of their predecessors, to surprising results. Hearts On Hold shines a light on the love, sorrow, and day-to-day lives of queer young people today as well as the past.
