theatriQ Youth Ensemble Application

APPLICATIONS DUE: Wednesday, September 14, 2016 @ 5pm

 

theatriQ is a performing arts group of queer, trans, and allied youth (ages 13-21) in the Pittsburgh region. Every year the ensemble creates and performs original theater, visual art, and music exploring LGBTQA+ themes. We are excited to work with writers, performers, visual artists, musicians, activists, organizers, and leaders! 

 

We meet weekly on Sundays between September and April. ATTENDANCE AT ALL REHEARSALS IS MANDATORY. Click here for rehearsal scheduleThere is no cost to join, bus tickets are available, we have food at every event, and all participants are paid for performances. Rehearsals will be held at KST’s Alloy Studios located in Pittsburgh’s East End at 5530 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Buses include P1, 64 71A/C, 77, 81, 86, 88 and others.

ARTWORK SAMPLES: Please share an example of your own artwork. This can be a drawing, poem, video, or anything you have created.

 

OR share with us an example of art that inspires you. This could be a song, poems, books, tumblr accounts, vloggers, paintings, or anything by other artists that you love.

IMPORTANT AUDITION DETAILS

After you submit your application, Dreams of Hope staff will reach out about audition. Auditions are 3 hours long and happen in groups. Be prepared to share your talents for one minute, play an instrument, sing, tell a story, do a monologue, whatever you want!
